Excellent service and work. We recently needed four dining room stool seats refurbished with new foam and seat covers. I emailed Pillows and More asking if they did that type of work and what the cost might be. I got a prompt response with a clear breakdown of prices for the labor for each seat, the foam price, and the fabric price based on what we chose. After talking with the owner, Ubaldo and visiting the store, we dropped off our four stool seats. The work was completed the next day and we received an email notifying us that we could pick up the stool seat. The workmanship and finish were excellent. Very happy with the result. Thanks.

Ubaldo from Pillows and more is a gem. I had a rocking chair that required upholstering. I inquired everyone and they came back saying rather disparagingly, that the cost of upholstering would be far greater than the cost of the chair. I almost lost hope until I spoke to Ubaldo. He is super reasonable, responsive over yelp and returned the item much more beautiful than it originally was. Superb craftsmanship. I liked it so much that I became a repeat buyer. I asked him to reupholster my sofa. Again, superb job!! I am so happy with his work. I can't recommend him enough.

The owner helped me choose a foam density for my cushions even though I told him that it was too long a drive to use his service. So I sent him a thank you card because I appreciate his knowledge and responsiveness.
Also his prices are half of what any other pillow and cushion service charges.

The reviews of this shop are so great I decided to email the shop via their website and ask about a potential order.
The shop answered a couple hours after the email was sent. However, all I received was an invoice. This invoice was addressed to "walking client" and listed the price of the order I requested.
As listed, there was labor, fabric, and shipping charges. I was more than ok with the labor and fabric costs. But shipping charges? For what? I did not request the finished item to be shipped to me. I also did not choose a fabric, nor a color, so how are they charging me $45 in shipping?
I asked a very specific question and there was no answer to my question. Just the invoice and a very high shipping charge that was not accounted for. There was no dialogue. No greeting. No invite to speak with them more about the order. Just an invoice.
I had read that this company was very personable, kind, and do good work. I cannot confirm any of this from my experience and will not patronage a business unwilling to treat me like a client and not just a paycheck.
P.S. For Pillows & More: "Walking client" should be walk-in client. As in a client who walks into your establishment on foot, not an email.

Ubaldo is the best! I had a sofa with a chaise cushion and two standard cushions. I wanted the chaise converted into a standard cushion to match the other two, and to 'plump up' them up.
First let me say that his work was outstanding. I couldn't tell the converted cushion from the other two - it was an exact match, and all three of them looked amazing - better than when new. But Ubaldo is much more than a skilled craftsman. He is an extremely likeable fellow. He was very polite, warm, and courteous in our texts and calls. He was out when I dropped off the cushions at his shop in Hayward so I did not meet him then.
When the work was done I asked him what his shop hours were so I could pick up the cushions. Before answering he asked where I lived and when I told him I was in SF he offered to deliver the cushions to me since he was going to be there for another delivery. Outstanding! We met finally when he delivered the cushions. He was genuinely happy to meet me as I him.
In addition to his excellent work and customer service, his bid came in well below the others I received on Yelp. I could not have had a more positive experience working with Ubaldo and highly recommend Pillows and More without hesitation.
